<div>Hey, I'm a new member, I did a lot of devil sticking from age 12-22, and I've been out of it for the past few years. I just got myself a pair of dube fire stix and have been getting into burning. <br/> <br/>I've been questioning how entertaining firesticks can be. It seems that the standard tricks and styles can't compare to poi or staff on fire in terms of audience enjoyment. <div>Hi, just thought id drop in here to share my Fire Flower Stick design. <br/> <br/>I make my own fire flower sticks and sell them on request for $40(including hand sticks), but feel free to use this design. They are made of threaded aluminum rod(3/8" 16) with silicone tubing(450deg. melting temp) around the shaft. Any length will do(within reason), the ones in the video of me are 21". For stoppers I use leather(cut into circle and stapled with industrial staples to form a cone), it serves two purposes-1 It stops the flame from directly getting to the silicone and 2-It hardens after a few uses and works well as a stop. I use a combo of nuts and lock nuts to secure the leather and the wick(which i fold like the radical fish devilsticks and drill through) on the ends I use chain attached to a lock washer to add weight and to reduce roll. <br/> <br/>Two things that would prevent you from making them yourself: The aluminum threaded rod is a rare item as is the silicone tubing, if you can find these mats you are almost there. The Silicone tubing that i get, to eliminate movement, is 1/16" smaller than the threaded rod; its a real bitch to get on there. <div>I saw a guy with cool light toys at harmony festival in santa rosa but he was only making staff and poi. i suggested that he make some devil stix because there aren't a lot of options for led stix, and believe me, i have looked for years. he said i should tell the owner if i saw him. i forgot about it until i saw him at the techno tribal event that night and he was putting something together. i casually asked him if he ever considered making a devil stick and he said that he had something that worked pretty good if i had sticky stix. i happened to have some and he quickly assembled a devil stick for me. then we decided it was too fast and needed weight so he added a poly tube to each end. then he put on a different cap on each end so i could later add whatever i wanted to act as a flower to slow it down and in five minutes i had the coolest led devil stick i had ever seen! he invented these lights and made them into strong shells so they can be dropped. his website is https://www.flowtoys.com/home.php and the cost was $70. it was well worth it. i love them! he will be at burningman and also earthdance and oregon country fair. check out his site for pics and more info!</div> <div> posted in <a href="http://devilstix.tribe.net">Devil Stix</a> - 0 replies </div>

If u want the ultimate stickyness, then use tennis grip! cover the 2 hand stix end to end, and the biggy in the centre, leaving about 6 inches each end.
